Help Center/Equipment/The Asset Profile

The Asset Profile

Every piece of equipment in your inventory has a profile with three tabs: Product Information, Useful Life, and Preventive Schedule.

Click any row in the Equipment Inventory to open its full profile. Inspectr enriches each asset from manufacturer documentation, spec sheets, and industry data — all sourced and cited.

Product Information

The left panel shows manufacturer information — product line, manufacturer website, and a narrative description of the equipment. Below that, Inspectr breaks down the model number, explaining what each segment means (e.g., "Z → Oil-free compressor product family," "T → Air-cooled," "22 → Nominal motor power: 22 kW," "VSD → Variable Speed Drive").

You'll also see the manufacture date, warranty details (standard and extended options), and a full list of documentation sources — product pages, CAGI data sheets, spec sheets, and maintenance guides — each with a confidence score showing how closely it matches your specific equipment.

The right panel shows technical specifications generated by Inspectr: motor power, capacity, dimensions, efficiency ratings, certifications, and other performance data specific to the make and model.

Useful Life

This tab shows the asset lifecycle analysis. A summary describes the equipment's current condition, estimated age, and when replacement is recommended. You can view the reasoning behind the estimate and see risk factors that could shorten or extend useful life.

The timeline visualization shows where the asset sits in its lifecycle — manufacture date, expected life, and remaining years.

The right panel calculates total cost of ownership over the remaining asset lifetime, combining projected maintenance costs with replacement cost (equipment + installation). Below that, Inspectr lists comparable replacement options with current pricing from manufacturer and distributor sources.

Preventive Schedule

This tab shows the manufacturer-recommended preventive maintenance schedule for this specific piece of equipment. Each task lists the frequency (daily, annually, every X operating hours), task description, and estimated cost. Toggle "Show costs" to see or hide cost estimates.

Tasks range from daily operational inspections ($0) to major overhauls on multi-year cycles (e.g., "Compression Element Overhaul — every 20,000–25,000 operating hours — $12,000"). The total estimated annual cost is shown at the top.
